What is it like?
Working in Recruitment has become far more broad and challenging than it ever used to be. The relatively straightforward instances of having a vacancy and finding large number of people would could fill that vacancy are rare, putting the onus on us recruiters to become genuinely consultative and truly specialist in our respective fields. It is an engaging and endlessly fascinating career which provides very high financial rewards too.
In fact, the daily life within Recruitment has begun to have some similarities to working in Marketing, giving time to networking on social media, promoting career opportunities and engaging with life science professionals individuals online, writing blogs, and actively promoting the industry. At Next Phase we recognise that the old-fashioned ways of making sales call after sales call, and sending out large numbers of CVs just to hit personal targets, are what have given the Recruitment industry a bad name in years gone by. It is a "sales" role, but one that is based on the ability to build genuinely strong long-term relationships.

You will develop your knowledge of cutting-edge industries and the scientific professionals who work in them. In particular, we work in partnership with Cell & Gene Therapy, Rare Disease, Drug Discovery, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Human Factors businesses.
