Got an interview for your first Graduate Trainee Recruitment role?
Here's how to spend the 30 minutes before it to give yourself the best chance of getting through to the next stage...

✅ Understand what recruitment actually involves.
✅ Look at the company and what makes it different.
✅ Think of 2–3 examples that demonstrate communication, resilience, organisation, competitiveness or curiosity.
✅ Be ready to explain why recruitment, not just "I want a career".
✅ Think about what you're genuinely excited about.
✅ Prepare a couple of great questions. Not just "what does the next stage of the process look like?"

Most importantly, bring your energy and personality to the conversation.

We're not expecting graduates to walk into an interview knowing how to recruit. That's what training is for. But we do want to meet the person behind the CV and understand what motivates you, what you're interested in and what you could bring to the team.
