Do you have experience within a lab printing environment, together with excellent attention to detail and strong computer skills (Excel and Word)? If so, you could be ideally suited to a new vacancy which has arisen with a leading Pharmaceutical company in Worthing, West Sussex. We are looking for someone to be responsible for the printing of labels for individual batches of drug products which are going to be sent to multiple countries and you will be involved in stock control, handling data, checking and producing labels and communicating with people across the business.
This is a permanent role with a salary of around £19,000 (hours of 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday) plus excellent benefits.
A pioneering Worthing-based Pharmaceutical company who manufacture and distribute life-changing drugs to patients across Europe and other territories around the world. They specialise in making vaccines for people who suffer from debilitating conditions and they have an excellent reputation as a local employer. The company is well known its positive and supportive working environment and they are continuing to expand due to their ongoing successes across Europe and the USA.
Working in a small print area that is adjacent to the Inspection, Labelling and Packaging department, you will have a variety of responsibilities that will require meticulous attention to detail at all times.
For each new batch record that comes in, relating to the production of a vaccine, you will choose the correct label type (from a selection of a few hundred), create the unique label and set the quantities and parameters for printing, print the labels and supply them to the necessary people within agreed timeframes. Alongside this, you will use Word and Excel to enter, process and check batch codes, data and documentation and will ensure that everything matches correctly. Outside of the print room, you will meet with people across different departments to inform them of updates, which is part of the company’s open culture for clear communication.
Some parts of your role will require you to work alone, or in a pair, for extended periods of time, so you must be able to show that you take real pride in your work and can be trusted to work consistently at all times.
In addition to a salary of around £19,000, you will receive an excellent benefits package including:
- 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays
- Private health cover
- Life insurance
- Pension scheme
- Discretionary, non-contractual annual bonus
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual with some experience from a label printing / production environment. It will be helpful if you have worked in a highly regulated setting before (e.g. Pharmaceuticals or Food packaging), though this is not essential provided you can still demonstrate your attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to focus for extended periods of time. Experience of inventory control / stock control would be a strong advantage, as would the ability to work with data on Excel and documents in Word.
Full details will be provided on application, so please get in touch!
