Job Description

Are you a London based Senior Human Factors Consultant looking for the step up to Principal? Our client, a long-established design and ergonomics consultancy, have an exciting opportunity to join their team!

The Role

In the role of Principal Consultant, you will be not only thrive in a team environment, but also excel at getting the best from your direct reports and leading successful projects. You will be supporting clients in the understanding of user trials and the value of human behaviours/motivations in the design process. From drug delivery devices to digital interfaces you will assess and improve all touch points with the end user; be that the patient or healthcare professionals. Using qualitative and quantitative analysis methods in formative and summative studies you will assist medical device manufacturers, ensuring safer and more efficient products.

The Company

A multi-disciplined team that support clients from the transportation and medical/healthcare sectors. My client has expertise in the design of products, spaces and systems; providing solutions from initial concept through design and development to testing and evaluation. Control room ergonomics, workspace design, wayfinding and medical device post market surveillance are just a few of their specialisms.

Experience

This is a client facing role so the successful candidate will need to display excellent relationship building and project management abilities.  Your career to date must include medical/healthcare human factors design engineering, preferably in a fast-paced consultancy setting, although experience gained within end client manufacturers will also be considered. To be considered for this role you will need at least an undergraduate degree in Ergonomics, Human Factors or Psychology, but preferably a MSc and/or PhD with at least five years commercial experience.
