The Company
The company are headquartered in Central London, where this role will be based and are expanding rapidly based on the demand for their services and the addition of new expertise to improve their capabilities.  You will join a genuinely exciting, forward-thinking and award-winning organisation which works in collaboration with academic and commercial life science partners, bringing innovative therapies to market to tackle a range of medical conditions.  Their aim is to make the UK the most compelling choice for the development of these life changing therapies locally and internationally working closely with government backed funding organisations.

The Role
The purpose of this role is to add additional expertise to the HR Team that is responsible for 3 sites in the London area to provide general support and lead the L&D initiative across the whole company.  You will be reporting into the Head of HR and will be supported by 1 direct report.

The Learning & Development focused responsibilities is to lead this across the whole company to cover the full lifecycle from design, through to delivery and vendor management of training programmes.  You will be leading the training and development of all employees ensuring that probationary and appraisal commitments are met, providing support as needed.  This includes being involved in the selection and implementation of a performance management system to include employee development programmes.  To establish in house training system that meets the needs including assessments, new employee on boarding, management development and the measuring of training impacts.

There is a strong talent management aspect with the responsibility for the delivery of a programme to include succession planning, employee engagement transformation and performance management.  As well as assisting the HR team in the recruitment of key roles so that a pipeline high caliber talent is developed to meet the needs of the business and the management of their talent bank.

Aside from the L&D focused responsibilities you will be working with Hiring Managers to support them with any HR related issues.  As well as Line Managers in their management of employees, and general employee related issues as required.

For this opportunity, you will need to have experience of working as an HR generalist with demonstrable L&D experience.  Learning & Development experience will need to be full lifecycle to cover design, delivery, and vendor management.  You will have a proven track record in the delivery of talent management programmes to include succession planning, employee engagement, transformation and performance management.  With experience of different approaches to training such as e - learning, tutorials and / or coaching.  Ideally you will be from a commercial background with experience of working in a fast paced and creative environment.  Additionally, if you are MCIPD qualified or equivalent ideally specialising in L&D e.g. CTP then this is advantageous to your application.
