Do you have excellent attention to detail and experience gained in a regulated manufacturing, packaging or warehouse environment? A brand new permanent role has arisen with a Pharmaceutical company in Worthing, West Sussex to join as an Inspection, Labelling and Packaging Technician to support the production and packaging areas. You will work 7am-3pm Monday to Friday. The salary starts at £16,500 and will increase to £17,000 after the initial training period (around 5-6 months); and the company offers an excellent benefits package (see below).
A pioneering Worthing-based Pharmaceutical company who manufacture and distribute life-changing drugs to patients across Europe and other territories around the world. They specialise in making vaccines for people who suffer from debilitating conditions and they have an excellent reputation as a local employer. The company is well known its positive and supportive working environment.
Working in a busy Production and Packaging environment, you will perform a range of routine duties based around the Inspection, Labelling and Packaging of liquid vaccines that have been put into pre-loaded syringes or vials. This requires the highest possible attention to detail because you will check for defects, discolouration and anything else that might require investigation. You will manually process labels for individual orders and ensure that the correct labels are put on each pack, which requires lots of cross-checking of order numbers and batch codes. You will work in collaboration with others, checking each other’s batch codes and other information, to ensure 100% correctness and maximising efficiency of the team.
The environment is controlled by strict GMP regulations, so you will have to wear overalls, hair net and shoe covers. Make-up and jewellery will not be permitted in the clean room, as is standard within any Pharmaceutical production or laboratory environment.
In addition to a salary of £16,500 (rising to £17,000), the company offers an excellent benefits package including:
- 25 days’ holiday
- Pension scheme
- Life insurance
- Private healthcare
- Annual bonus (non-contractual and discretionary)
We are looking for a hard-working, committed individual with strong attention to detail. Previous experience in a regulated environment (GMP or ISO, from the Pharmaceutical, Food or Medical Devices sectors) would be a strong advantage but is not essential. Above all else, we want someone who works hard at all times, who offers excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), good literacy and numeracy, patience, an honest and likeable manner and strong attention to detail.
Please note that colourblind candidates cannot be considered due to the colour-coding system used when you check and label the vials of vaccine.
This is a permanent role.
