Job Description

URGENT temp role for the next 3 months! If you have experience from a busy process-driven environment (warehouse, distribution, mail sorting / post room, packaging, printing or production) then this will be perfect for you. You will be paid £8.50 per hour, to work 7am – 3pm, Monday to Friday.

A 3-month contract position has arisen within the busy Dispatch team of a leading Pharmaceutical company in Worthing, West Sussex. Working 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, this will be a fascinating role to help in the shipping of life-changing medicines to people across Europe. If you have excellent attention to detail and experience from a labelling, packaging, admin, mail sorting, print, dispatch or warehouse environment (or something similar), this will be a great opportunity to build on your skills and join a fascinating business from November until February.

The Company
A pioneering Worthing-based Pharmaceutical company specialising in the treatment and prevention of allergies such as hay fever and asthma. They produce injectable and oral drugs for individual allergy sufferers. The company is well known in the local area for its positive and supportive working environment.

The Role
Working in a small, busy team of up to 7 people, you will be responsible for processing individual patient drug orders, putting the correct leaflets into jiffy bags, and preparing them for dispatch. Using your attention to detail to the full, you will ensure that all drug packets are correctly put in bags, with the right labels (printed in the department) and placed in the right areas for distribution to countries all over Europe (and some worldwide). You will use the in-house computer system to process customer orders and it is essential that you show strong attention to detail at all times.

You will work good, consistent reasonable hours (7am – 3pm) and will join a friendly team in a pleasant, modern building. The company offers kitchen facilities and free parking.

Experience
It would be an advantage to have worked in a process-driven environment (warehouse, distribution, mail sorting / post room, packaging, printing or production) where you have performed routine duties (including administration) but had to have your wits about you at all times. Above all else, we want someone who works consistently hard, who offers excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), good literacy and numeracy, patience, an honest and likeable manner and strong attention to detail. You must be able to start at short notice. You must also be able to work on up until the end of December, as this will be a very important day for the company’s final dispatch operations of the year.
