James Hume is recruiting for a Manufacturing Scientist to join a pioneering T cell company who now have therapies in clinical trials and are expanding their operations. Which has led to the need to continue to expand their GMP manufacturing operations for clinical trials by producing T – Cells and Viral Vectors for use in the clinic. They need to recruit at least two Manufacturing Scientists with experience of manufacture in a Biologics, Vaccine, Cell Therapy, Gene Therapy, Antibodies or similar environment with experience of GMP being an advantage to your application.
A pioneering and ambitious Biopharmaceutical company who develop next-generation, programmed T-cell therapies to treat haematological cancers and solid tumours. The organisation has existed for 4 years and is very well funded, with a clear strategy and expansion plan for the next 3 years and beyond. Scientifically, the company has extremely exciting technologies, using a broad suite of proprietary and modular T-cell programming to engineer precisely targeted, controlled and highly active T cells. Commercially, they have a pipeline of product candidates in development (for the treatment of haematological malignancies and solid tumours) and is increasing its GMP production capacity. Based in a state-of-the-art facility in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, you will join a team that is doing something genuinely meaningful.
The purpose of the Manufacturing Scientist is to produce batches of T - cells for use within Clinical Trial programmes to a very high standard. You will be working in a dynamic and cutting-edge environment to manufacture a variety of unique T – cell therapies in compliance with GMP. They use a range of cell based techniques using semi – automated and automated equipment.
Alongside the day to day technical manufacture of these advanced therapies you will be exposed to other responsibilities to help with the progression of your career. These are compliance management, training of staff, batch record documentation, the design and implementation of training programmes and niche technical areas for example.
