Job Description

Are you looking for a change of scenery? Want to get away from life in a big city for the country side? My client, a medical device manufacturer based in Carmarthen have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Human Factors professional who wants to escape the rat race whilst not compromising on their career. From recruitment of study participants to interpreting interesting study results and presenting your findings to the internal design, marketing and regulatory teams. Working with healthcare professionals, patients and key opinion leaders you will use resulting insights to improve design, reduce risk and engage end users. As the subject matter expert, you will be solely responsible for all human factors applications and will report directly to the Head of Product Development.

These studies will take place in the UK, Europe and with time, the US and global travel will be a part of the role and is estimated at around 40% of the role. Offering the opportunity to visit some great places, including The Netherlands where my client’s sister company is based, whilst networking with experts in this therapeutic area.

Ideally you will have an undergraduate degree in Product/Industrial Design and previous experience of usability trial management within a commercial medical device environment. User experience scoring knowledge and its application to product development would also be extremely advantageous.

My client is offering a competitive salary and benefit package including flexible working hours and working from home when not required on site – also financial assistance with relocation for the right candidate.
