Founded in 2001 they are currently undergoing a sustained period expansion, doubling in size over the last few years, following continued success. The company manufactures specials / unlicensed medicine on a bespoke basis with the products made by hand to order in very small batches often on singular product for specific patients. They have recently built new manufacturing laboratories to meet the increased demand which are now fully operational.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to be a key part of the continued growth of the company. The initial purpose of this role will be to take over the day to day running of the manufacturing laboratory with a team of about 15. You will be responsible for the compliance of the suite to GMP, line management of staff, taking responsibility for the documentation and paperwork relating to the manufacture of the products. As the Production Manager you will ensure the manufacturing of products is completed on time scheduling the work load and taking action to smooth any spikes.
Going forward the company want to continue to expand this ream and you will be a key part of the process using your experience to define how this is achieved as a key part of the management group of the company. Overseeing the recruitment of staff, putting in place the relevant procedures to manage and coordinate a team of this size. So that the transition is achieved successfully.
You will need to have prior experience of managing the manufacture of pharmaceutical products with the responsibility for managing a large team. Preferably from a specials / unlicensed medicines background hospital environment or other small scale manufacture but this is not essential to your application. They are looking for someone with experience of managing large teams who is looking for a new challenge to be a key part of the company’s growth.
This is a permanent position.
