Job Description

Brand manager (Healthcare OTC) wanted by Global reputable pharmaceutical Company based in Surrey, 10 Months contract. Office based Tuesday - Thursday / Home based - Monday & Friday
 
An exciting and challenging opportunity has become available in one of the UK’s biggest healthcare providers. This role will have full day to day control, planning and execution of one brand within the cough and cold or pain relief categories as well as supporting a senior brand manager on an iconic brand.   

Based in Surrey, this role offers a chance to take real ownership and influence the strategy of leading brands in their categories.

The role:

  • Create and communicate the vision of your brand throughout the business
  • Deliver & evaluate cut-through consumer campaign across the marketing mix including TV, Digital & PR
  • Collaborate with Sales Strategy to identify compelling shopper messages and create innovative merchandising recommendations and POS materials
  • Lead analysis of brand/s in market performance providing recommendations for optimisations / corrective action where necessary
  • Manage brand/s marketing budget and give recommendations for optimisation where appropriate
  • Manage brand P&L against financial targets and maximise ROI 
  • Lead cross functions teams and collaborate closely with sales and sales strategy to ensure plans are fully aligned

 Performance Measures:

  • Annual NET sales and profit targets met
  • Meet consumer sales growth and market share targets
  • Execute agreed brand plans to time and budget
  • Effectiveness of cross functional working

 The person we are looking for:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Brand Management role, gained ideally in FMCG environment, OTC benefit but not essential
  • Track record of executing winning plans across the marketing mix
  • Strong awareness of UK media landscape including digital and PR
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to form collaborative relationships
  • Good communication and influencing skills
  • Good project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong competence in data analysis and insight development
  • Strong commercial acumen and grasp of the brand P&L and its drivers
  • Operates to a good degree of autonomy
  • Solid understanding of the UK retail trade

 Technical skills

  • Good working knowledge of AC Nielsen and Kantar data P&L literate
  • High level of IT literacy in Microsoft office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
