A pioneering UK-based Pharmaceutical company specialising in the development and production of sterile injectable and oral dose vaccines and diagnostic kits for people who suffer from allergies. They have developed an innovative approach to adjuvant therapy which will be of particular interest to someone with the ability to apply chemistry principles in a biopharmaceutical environment. There are around 250 employees in Worthing and the company has an excellent reputation for its welcoming atmosphere, staff morale and ongoing development.
The successful candidate will have a strong Chemistry education (BSc or MSc / MChem preferred), backed with experience gained in a commercial laboratory. Pharmaceutical QC experience, following GLP / GMP regulations, would be a strong advantage, though candidates will be considered from other settings such as Food, Cosmetics, Diagnostics or Medical Device testing. You must have a good understanding of chromatography techniques like HPLC and GC and will need to have the ambition to progress a long-term career in the lab. Knowledge of protein analysis and associated pharmacopeia would be a strong advantage, but is not essential.
