Their headquarters are in central London where they have built a sector leading multidisciplinary team that has the ability to take a therapy from concept through the development cycle to the market. They offer cutting edge technology and innovation to support companies take their products through clinical trials to the market. Enabling those that they collaborate with to overcome the issues faced during commercialisation and bring leading edge therapies to the market.
Their longer-term aim is to make the UK a global leader in the development and commercial exploitation of therapies. They are making great strides towards this aim with therapies entering phase 2 clinical trials and building credible cases to be progressed to stage 3. Added to this they are expanding their manufacturing and development operations to meet increased demand for their services from the academic and commercial sectors.
The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Progamme Delivery & Management to ensure efficient management, reporting and delivery of cutting edge R&D programmes for Cell & Gene Therapies.
Due to the positioning of this role it has a wide range of responsibilities such as being the main connection between BD, Finance, and Operations functions. With the aim to ensure a seamless workflow from lead to opportunity project within internal portfolio management and finance systems. This means you will be the first point of contact for information with the ability to provide guidance on project management process and systems. You will work with the Programmes Managers to assign projects as directed and communicating with them regarding these. You will ensure dashboards are up to date and of the right quality for regular senior level meetings and review. This also includes the preparation of papers, building and managing the portfolio risks & issues register, highlighting the status to relevant senior members of the company.
This role is highly visible within the Programme Management Team and senior members of the company meaning there is the chance to develop your career in this dynamic, growing and forward-thinking company.
For this opportunity, you will need demonstrable experience of using project management methodologies and tools with experience of working on R&D projects. You will need of project cost management processes, reporting to include plans, forecast, budgets, commitments, actuals and accruals. As well as working in a similar position reporting the progress of projects and working with programme managers on a daily basis. Knowledge of SAP and Sharepoint would be advantageous to your application.
