The organisations UK Communications and Government Affairs Team is responsible for communicating with external and internal audiences (media, the public, healthcare providers and colleagues) using both traditional and digital channels to maximise their reach, and tell their amazing story of discovery and health impact.
They work across the UK business to develop innovative media and colleague communication initiatives; develop robust messages about our medicines, our business and the issues and opportunities facing them; and to manage brand and corporate issues. Through these activities they increase awareness and understanding of the organisation and its medicines in order to help drive business results and enhance and protect their reputation.
The External Communications Manager role is a fantastic opportunity for a high performing, experienced Communications professional to join the team, as they forge ahead to be even more progressive and successful in their mission to tell their story and improve their reputation.
Is this you?
You will have a proven track record in delivering excellent business results via media relations/communications programmes and demonstrate well developed media relations skills. You will also be able to deliver integrated media relations programmes which ensure strategic delivery the corporate priorities and maximise the opportunities of the organisation’s product portfolio.
You will have a proven track record of successfully developing and delivering strategic communications and media relations programmes, working in agency and / or blue-chip environments. Plus evidence of established media relationships, preferably in health, social affairs and business.
