Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Biotech who are manufacturing cutting edge therapies for use in clinical trials as a Production Scientist.  They are based in Stevenage and have 3 therapies in clinical trials at the moment with others in the pipeline.  This has led to an increase in volume of production which they are recruiting to meet as well as increase the GMP expertise in the team.  They are recruiting for multiple positions within their Production Team.

They are seeking people who have at least 3 years GMP experience in the manufacture of Biologics, or Antibodies, or Vaccines, or Chemotherapy, or TPN, or Cell Therapies or Gene Therapies in a clean room / aseptic environment.  As these are the skills they require as they grow meaning you do not need direct experience (if you do then this is advantageous but not essential) as you can be trained on the equipment they use.  Additionally, you will preferably have a BSc in relevant life science with a higher qualification and advantage but not essential.

This is a developmental role with a clear career progression path which means you will have additional responsibilities beyond the day to day manufacture.  These include mentoring more junior members of staff in their activities to ensure productivity and compliance standards are achieved.  As well as being involved in any investigations with QC or QA following out of spec results or deviations.  Plus supporting the audit readiness programme and working with the Process Development teams in the transfer and optimisation of methods.

The Company:
They are a Biopharmaceutical company who develop and manufacture T-cell therapies to treat haematological cancers and solid tumours. They have existed for 4 years and is very well funded, with a clear strategy and expansion plan for the next 3 years and beyond. They have a pipeline of product candidates in development (for the treatment of haematological malignancies and solid tumours) and is increasing its GMP production capacity. Based in a state-of-the-art facility in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, you will join a team that is doing something genuinely meaningful.
