Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a scientist with experience of flow – cytometry to join the growing quality control team with the responsibility for the analysis and release of cutting edge T- cell therapies for use in clinical trials.  The company are expanding to keep pace with the progression of their therapies through clinical trials and forward planning as others will be reaching the clinic within the next twelve months.  They are reshaping their Quality Control department to consist of small teams each with a flow cytometry specialist. Thus, they are recruiting for multiple positions!

The purpose of the role will be to test raw materials, in process and finished products to GMP regulations for their release for clinical trials.  As this is a more senior position with the team you will have additional responsibilities including investigations into out of spec results, deviations etc., plus audit preparations and the training of junior members of staff.  This is a developmental role where you will gain additional experience in the development and optimisation of methods for examples to move to a more senior position quickly.

The Company
They are a pioneering and ambitious Biopharmaceutical company who develop next-generation, programmed T-cell therapies to treat cancer. They have existed for 4 years and is very well funded, with a clear strategy and expansion plan for the next 3 years and beyond.  They have a pipeline of product candidates in development (for the treatment of haematological malignancies and solid tumours) and are increasing their GMP production capacity. Based in a state-of-the-art facility in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, you will join a team that is doing something genuinely meaningful.

Experience
For this opportunity, you will need to have experience of working in a GMP compliant environment using analytical techniques including flow cytometry for the analysis of biologics, antibodies, cell therapies, gene therapies or related products.  You will need to have at a least a BSc in a relevant life sciences subject, higher qualifications are advantageous but not necessary for your application.
