Job Description

Busy Medical Education agency is currently looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious recent Life Sciences PhD graduate to join our healthcare agency as an Associate Medical Writer.

My client is a busy healthcare communications agency specialising in Medical Education. They are commissioned by major Pharmaceutical Companies, to work on their behalf to organise educational and promotional meetings, and develop educational and promotional printed and digital materials.  The work is interesting, varied and sometimes intense, but is always creative and satisfying.

Projects include organising meetings of up to 120 delegates, developing printed sales materials, as well as developing e-details, phone and web applications, and producing digital adverts to appear on healthcare websites.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the creation of all written outputs for the agency, including not limited to: detail aids (print and digital), website copy, leave pieces, training materials for sales reps and clinicians, advisory board and promotional meeting agendas. 

You will need to:

 

  • Develop understanding of new therapeutic areas quickly and comprehensively
  • Build understanding of client and competitor products, therapy areas, portfolio, and clinical and commercial strategy in the context of the current market
  • Keep up-to-date with industry codes of practice/legislation
  • Develop understanding of new therapeutic areas quickly and comprehensively

  • Keep up-to-date with industry codes of practice/legislation
  • Work collaboratively with account team members to ensure that all account objectives are met

  • Attend meetings in the UK or elsewhere, providing on-site support as required

The employment package will include:

 

 

  • Starting Salary: £28k depending on experience.
  • Review of salary after 6 months

  • 6 months probationary period
