You will take the lead on designing and implementing software solutions for third party clients across the medical, diagnostics, drug delivery and healthcare sectors. Oversight and management of these projects will be part of your day to day duties, including ensuring that the project runs to set timelines and budgets.
A design consultancy, founded 22 years ago, that continues to go from strength to strength. This multidisciplinary company provides support for all aspects of the design process, from concept to prototype and testing to manufacture. With state of the art facilities and a very collaborative approach you will have a chance to work on world class projects, for household names. As a company, they have a client base across consumer, industry and medical. Although this role will focus on the latter, whilst still offering a wide diversity of innovative projects.
The successful candidate will hold a degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or Software Engineering and have significant, commercial C++ experience. C# experience would also be extremely advantageous.
Ideally your experience will have been gained within device software development, from either a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturer. Experience from a design consultancy environment would also be beneficial. At home in medical design you will have a strong understanding of quality management system ISO 13485 in addition to risk management (ISO 14971) and device safety (IEC60601). With an appreciation of software best practices and a knowledge of test methodologies you will have the chance to see your ideas and hard work launched into the market.
Being comfortable with the Microsoft suite and a familiarity with Linux operating systems and embedded software systems is also essential.
Above all, the successful candidate will need to be passionate about design and take pride in the quality of the work that they produce. As a subject matter expert, you will be client facing and confident in presenting results and recommendations and at home in a fast paced and dynamic working environment.
Travel to existing and potential clients will be part of the role, either to discuss ongoing projects or to work in unison with business development to promote the company’s capabilities within medical software development.
