Job Description

Two 6-month temporary positions have arisen in the Production department of a leading Biopharmaceutical company in Worthing for hard-working individuals with excellent attention to detail. If you have strong manual dexterity and good eyesight, experience from a role which requires very high standards, and an interest in biology, this will be an excellent opportunity for you.

This could be ideally suited to someone who is just about to finish a Science degree in the Sussex area, as a way of getting straight into paid work and building your experience within a regulated clean room GMP setting.

You will work with small items, using magnifying glasses, tweezers and other instruments, and what you produce will be essential to the development and manufacture of innovative drug products. We are looking for committed, hard-working individuals who are keen to learn all about the highly controlled production of liquid vaccines and have the ability to stay focused when performing routine tasks.

These are temporary position for 6 – months with an equivalent salary of £18,000 pro rata. You will work 8am – 16pm, Monday to Friday and this will be a fascinating way to progress your career.

The Company
A pioneering Pharmaceutical organisation working with biological substances to assist drug development and produce innovative new treatments for people worldwide. The company is well known in the local area for its positive and supportive working environment. You will be joining a small, collaborative team that forms part of the Primary Production department, preparing substances that will be used in the development and manufacturing of vaccines for patients across several countries. The company is easily accessible by car or train.

You will need to have worked somewhere that requires excellent attention to detail and precision. Candidates will be considered from industries such as Pharmaceuticals, Food, Medical Devices, Precision Engineering, Lab Testing (including microbiology testing), Diagnostics etc. You do not necessarily need experience in a GMP-regulated Pharmaceutical company, but this would be a significant advantage. Above all else, we want someone with excellent communication skills, good numeracy skills, an honest and likeable manner, and the ability to work in a role that requires constant attention to detail. Science graduates with less experience will also be considered, as this is a great way to go straight into paid work from uni and gain some commercial experience.
