A brand new role has arisen for a Programme Management Support Officer to join an ambitious Life Science company in Central London (a short walk from London Bridge station). If you have a degree, some good experience in R&D Project / Programme Co-ordination, expert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, and first-rate organisational skills, this will be an excellent way to progress your career. A scientific background would be a particular advantage, though this is not essential. The role will be based in London, though you may also be required to travel on occasion to other UK sites.
This is an urgent requirement because the company would like you to start on Monday 15th August, to allow for a comprehensive handover with the current jobholder who is going back to university in September. This role is offered for 20 months on a fixed-term basis (with full salary and benefits) in the first instance, though other opportunities may arise for permanent roles within the company in due course.
You will join a centre of excellence within the UK Cell and Gene Therapy sector, with a company that offers innovative technologies and market expertise to Life Science businesses who are taking their products through to clinical trials. Based in state-of-the-art laboratories and offices, the company has been extremely successful in taking therapies through different stages of clinical trials, as well as continually seeking ways to derive the sector forward through collaborations with commercial, academic and NHS partnerships.
The purpose of this role is to support the Programme Management teams across a network of NHS-led centres to ensure efficient management, reporting and delivery of the project portfolio. The Programme Management Support Officer will also be responsible for supporting the Programme Managers across 3 different sites spread across the UK. This will be a varied and fast-paced role, which means that you will have a chance to get involved with many different aspects of the delivery of cell and gene therapies. Below are just some of the key responsibilities you will have:
- First point of contact for Project Management teams
- Provide portfolio spend information
- Tracking the resource use within the portfolio
- Maintenance of project dashboards
- Managing the Portfolio Risk Register
- Development, storage and distribution of confidential project management documents
- Ensuring correct recording and record retention of confidential data
- Administrative support
The successful candidate will ideally be a graduate with some good experience of working on R&D / healthcare projects, co-ordinating different project activities using your strong organisational skills. You will need to have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications. It will be helpful to have experience of project cost management processes (budgeting, forecasts etc), data analysis and reporting, and the ability to produce PowerPoint presentations. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to work with people at all levels, and the willingness to travel to other UK sites on occasion.
Full details will be provided on application.
