We are looking for a hard-working, reliable individual with experience in commercial or academic laboratory, understanding working to GLP and GMP conditions and using aseptic technique to process samples for storage however this is not essential as training will be given. This role will work under a shift pattern on Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm or 10am to 6pm or 12am to 8pm on a rotational basis. Requiring some weekend cover, but this is only 2 Saturdays in 5 weekends. It would be preferable that you have your own transport and live within a 20-mile radius of the company due to the nature of the role. The company aims to provide the best private storage bank service in the world by using their innovative science led approach.

The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join this innovative company as a Laboratory Technician processing and cryogenically storing stem cell samples. Your role is to process samples with strict adherence to SOP`s and guidelines in their GMP approved laboratory. The samples are processed under aseptic conditions using CAT A / B clean room technology. Once processed and stored there is a need to continually assess and validate the samples to ensure regulatory and legal requirements are at all times adhered to. Due to nature of the role accuracy is essential. Some manual handling such as loading and unloading cryotanks will be required.
The Company
They are a leading provider of stem cell storage dedicated to delivering paramount storage and process facilities worldwide currently storing more samples than any other UK private bank. You must be reliable, hard-working and approachable individual with some experience in a lab whether a commercial laboratory, or a university/ research/college laboratory preferably under aseptic conditions but this is not essential as training will be given. Experience of GMP and / or GLP with experience of sample processing is an advantage to your application, as would be an interest in regenerative therapy, stem cell storage and other work that comes under the Human Tissue Authority (HTA).
