Job Description

Are you a hard-working person with warehouse experience gained in a regulated environment? A brand-new permanent position has arisen within the busy warehouse team of a leading Pharmaceutical company in Worthing, West Sussex. The general working hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm and this will be a fascinating role to help in the shipping of life-changing medicines to people across Europe, processing goods in and out. If you have experience from a controlled warehouse (Pharmaceutical, Food, Medical Device or similar) this will be a great opportunity to build your experience and join a fascinating business.

The Company

A pioneering Worthing-based Pharmaceutical company specializing in the treatment and prevention of allergies such as hay fever and asthma. They produce injectable and oral drugs for individual allergy sufferers. The company is well known in the local area for its positive and supportive working environment.

The Role

You will be based in a small and busy Warehouse area, supporting the production and packaging of vaccines and diagnostic kits.

You will be responsible for receiving deliveries of incoming goods, recording everything in the company’s Tropos system, checking items and organising them using set processes to ensure that everything runs smoothly. You will operate warehouse and transport equipment (including a forklift) to process and store items and will be responsible for the correct disposal of certain items, as well as participating in stock takes and other routine and non-routine activities.

You will work in a small team and it is therefore important that you have a positive attitude, great communication skills and the ability to pick new things up quickly. We are looking for a self-sufficient person who takes real pride in your work and can organise their own time. You will work good, consistent reasonable hours (8am – 4pm) and will join a friendly team in a pleasant, modern building. The company offers kitchen facilities and free parking.

Experience

We are looking for a hard-working, self-sufficient individual who can manage your own time and work well in a small warehouse with three other people. You will be in a highly regulated area so you will need to demonstrate that you understand and respect working in a process-driven environment and can undertake manual and system-based responsibilities (the company uses the “Tropos” IT system) across goods in, stock control / moving and inspection activities. You will ideally have some experience of working in a clean room (GMP or similar) warehouse environment, preferably from a Pharmaceutical company (although Food, Cosmetics, Medical Device and FMCG production / warehousing will be good too). Candidates will also be considered if they do not have GMP experience but can demonstrate excellent precision and attention to detail.

Above all else, we want someone who works consistently hard, who offers excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), strong competency in English and Maths, patience, an honest and likeable manner and strong attention to detail.
