Job Description

A clinical stage Biopharmaceutical company, whose technology is based on T cells, are rapidly expanding due to the success of their therapies. They are seeking a Flow Cytometry Specialist to focus on the development, optimisation, validation and implementation of methods for use within their Quality Control and Manufacturing areas.
They need to recruit a Scientist who has experience of working in a commercial / industry environment who as an in-depth understanding of flow cytometry.  With the ability to develop, optimize, validate and train others in methods to be applied within their Quality Control team.  For the analysis of these advanced therapies during manufacture and for batch release for use in clinical trials.  In addition to the flow cytometry work you will support the investigation into out of spec results, deviation to understand the root cause and implement corrective actions.  In this position, you will be exposed to a wide range of responsibilities which will give you the chance to develop your career further.

The Company: A pioneering and ambitious Biopharmaceutical company who develop next-generation, programmed T-cell therapies to treat cancer. The organisation has existed for 4 years and is very well funded, with a clear strategy and expansion plan for the next 3 years and beyond. Scientifically, the company has extremely exciting technologies, using a broad suite of proprietary and modular T-cell programming to engineer precisely targeted, controlled and highly active T cells. Commercially, they have a pipeline of product candidates in development (for the treatment of haematological malignancies and solid tumours) and is increasing its GMP production capacity. Based in a state-of-the-art facility in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, you will join a team that is doing something genuinely meaningful.
Desired Skills and Experience : For the role of Flow Cytometry specialist, you will be experienced in applying this technique, preferably but not essentially, in a commercial environment with the understanding of the technique to develop, validate and optimize methods.  You will need to have multi-colour experience and the ability to adapt this to different situations.  GMP experience is not essential for this role but is an advantage if you have it.
