Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Programme Management team who are responsible for managing R&D programmes for the commercialisation of cutting-edge cell & gene therapies.  The company are a centre of excellence that is leading the way in the development of cell & gene therapies by providing the multi - disciplinary expertise needed to bring these to the market by taking them across the translational gap, through clinical trials to launch.  Their head offices are in Central London where this role will be based, and its purpose is to assist the Head of Progamme Delivery & Management to ensure efficient management, reporting and delivery of the project portfolio. They are at the forefront of creating a viable and sustainable cell and gene therapy industry in the UK by bridging the gap between science and commercialisation.  Their headquarters are in central London where they have built a sector leading multidisciplinary team that has the ability to take a therapy from concept through the development cycle to the market.  They offer cutting edge technology and innovation to support companies take their products through clinical trials to the market.  Enabling those that they collaborate with to overcome the issues faced during commercialisation and bring leading edge therapies to the market. 
 
The Role: The purpose of this role is to support the Head of Progamme Delivery & Management to ensure efficient management, reporting and delivery of cutting-edge R&D programmes for Cell & Gene Therapies. 
 
Due to the positioning of this role it has a wide range of responsibilities such as being the main connection between BD, Finance, and Operations functions.  With the aim to ensure a seamless workflow from lead to opportunity project within internal portfolio management and finance systems.  This means you will be the first point of contact for information with the ability to provide guidance on project management process and systems.  You will work with the Programmes Managers to assign projects as directed and communicating with them regarding these.  You will ensure dashboards are up to date and of the right quality for regular senior level meetings and review.  This also includes the preparation of papers, building and managing the portfolio risks & issues register, highlighting the status to relevant senior members of the company.

Requirements: For this opportunity, you will need demonstrable experience of using project management methodologies tools (ideally Prince 2) and will have experience of working on R&D projects.  You will need to have experience of project cost management processes and reporting to include plans, forecast, budgets, commitments, actuals and accruals.  Knowledge of SAP and Sharepoint would be advantageous to your application.
