The company are a centre of excellence that is at the forefront of creating a viable and sustainable cell and gene therapy industry. Their headquarters are in central London where they have built a leading multidisciplinary team that has the ability to take a therapy from concept through the development cycle to the market. They collaborate with both academia and industry and they are able to provide the scientific, clinical and commercial expertise needed to overcome the challenges of commercialising therapies. The Stevenage site works on a multi – occupancy basis comprising of 6 clean room suites which are occupied by their collaborators to run their manufacturing operations. Going forward this will be increasing from 6 to 12 clean rooms which you will support on relevant areas.
Role Summary: They are seeking a Project Manager who can manage complex multi partner projects for the manufacture of ATMP’s for use in clinical trials, from phase I all the way to phase III and potentially commercial manufacture. In addition, as the facility is expanding you will be responsible for taking on additional special projects as well.
You will work with the collaborator from the very early stages to set out the resources for the project, timelines, budgets, IP and compliance during the transactional stage. To then manage these on a daily basis working closely with the collaborator and be the point of contact during the lifecycle of the project. By successfully seeing projects through each phase by using your own expertise and drawing on others to deliver on time and to budget. This is a GMP compliant environment with your responsibility to maintain compliance by working closely with the Quality department.
Experience: You will need to have experience of working in a similar R&D or manufacturing environment in the cell & gene therapy or biologics or antibody or vaccine or biotech sector. You will need to have experience of working in a GMP or in a similar highly regulated environment. You will need experience of managing projects and working with 3rd parties including collaborators of clients during your career.
