Job Description

A brand-new role has been created by the continual growth of the company for a HR Advisor to join a successful scientific company in Oxford. This is a permanent role where you will be part of a busy HR team with exposure to all areas of the business to support your own career development.
 
Role Summary: You will be working closely with the HR Group Leader to deliver a Generalist HR service for the benefit across the whole business.  This is a truly generalist opportunity where you will be involved in recruitment, line manager and employee support, payroll, administration and working on specific projects as they continue to grow.  In each of these areas you will be actively involved in matters such as being the first port of call for employees and line managers to provide consultative support and coordinating the full lifecycle of recruitment activity, all the way through the offer process and onboarding. 
 
As this is a generalist role you will be working on, and in some case leading, special projects.  A key project will be the HRIS implementation, working with the Group Leader to support the selection and introduction to the workplace.   The purpose of this is to give you broad exposure so you are able to gain the skills to move to a more senior position as the company continue to grow.  With the autonomy to make the role your own and grow with it and the company over time. 
 
Desired Skill and Experience: For this role you will need to have experience of working within a generalist role in HR, preferably for a small company, If this is within another science-based company this is advantageous but not essential.  You will need to be have a high level of attention to detail and strong administration skills for this role, along with the ability to work autonomously within a wider team.  We are looking for someone who is keen and motivated, with a positive mindset and great initiative. You will need to demonstrate a drive for continuous improvement and excitement about training and developing your career.
