Job Description

The role of Contracts Officer is a key part of the legal team to provide support on wide range of contractual and legal matters for this Biotech based in Central London.  Whose purpose is to accelerate the advancement of the Cell & Gene Therapy Sector by bridging the gap between research and commercialisation of these life changing therapies.   Please note this is a 6 Mont Fixed Term Contract

The purpose of the role is to provide support on legal and contractual matters such as CDA’s, collaboration agreements, service agreement and terms & conditions.  For example, you will prepare contracts from precedent documents as review from a legal perspective and critique terms proposed to create marked up counter proposes.  Working alongside the In-House Lawyer and external legal team.

As a Contracts Officer you will have the chance to lead negotiations to ensure that in interests of the company are protected and that they can meet the contractual obligations it enters into.  With the ability to liaise in a productive and collaborative manner with external partners so that the company’s aims and objectives are reflected in the agreements.  If the external party has a counter view you will negotiate to achieve a fair resolution in a timely manner by taking a proactive approach to resolve matters as they arise.

Experience
For this opportunity you will need to have experience of contract negotiations with experience of drafting, reviewing, revising and negotiating CDA’s (confidentiality agreements). With current and or recent experience of working within a life sciences or pharmaceutical, university or research organization.  You will need to have a CILEx or law qualification, and an LPC is an advantage but not essential.
