Job Description

The role of Business Development Manager is an influential position with a leading UK Biotech based in Central London who provide services to support the R&D and manufacture of cell & gene therapies.  Using their cutting edge technologies and abilities where they have successfully scaled therapies to progress through clinical trials and commercialise others.

They are now seeking a Business Development manager to take on their European activities with a focus on BENELUX and Germany.  This is an established territory that you will be taking over with the task to further develop this in line with the company’s continued growth plans.

As a Business Development Manager, you will set out the strategy for the territory to build on the existing framework to continue its development.  Plus, how you will seek out and approach new targets to win further business and ensure a pipeline of projects enters into the company.  You will predominantly be seeking fee for service business as well as other collaborative R&D projects.  From the Biotech sector including companies who are developing the next generation of life changing therapies.  With the autonomy to develop the region as you see fit using your expertise and creativity to keep ahead of the competition.

Experience
For this opportunity you will need to be educated to at least BSc level with demonstrable experience in sales within the life sciences sector.  You will need to have experience of working in a similar role in account management, sales, or business development, in the Life Sciences sectors.  With proven experience of securing deals and success in sales environments. Experience of working in Europe in particular Germany or the Benelux region is advantageous to your application.  

This is a field-based role but there is the requirement to be able to attend their central London offices once a week.
