Job Description

A cutting-edge biotech is recruiting for a Business Development Analyst to join their Commercial team based in Central London to support their business development activities.  The company are leading the way in the commercialisation of cutting-edge therapies taking these through the commercialisation process using their expertise and cutting-edge services.
The role of Business Development Analyst is to support the wider team that delivers the commercial collaborative R&D and core business activities.  In this role you will be exposed to a wide range of activities that will enhance your longer-term career development.  You will take responsibility for the analysis of market trends, commercial data and other sources to keep the team up-to-date with the latest trends, target companies or responding to specific requests.  You will be working with BD Managers to co-ordinate, target and deliver CR&D applications to ensure these are accurate and contain the correct information by helping to prepare the bids. 
Added to this you will map and track translational research & development projects, funding and partnerships within the EU which the company could be involved in.  As the Business Development Analyst, you will also manage the confidentiality agreements to ensure these are in place and compliant.  You will also be exposed to Intellectual Property requirements by providing clerical assistance to the in–house Lawyer and Patent Attorney.  This is a mixed role where you will be part of a dynamic team gaining experience that will help develop your career further with this industry leading company.

Desired Skills and Experience:  You will need to have a BSc in Life Sciences with the ability to analyse and assess complex technical and commercial data.  With experience of working in a commercial environment where you have analysed compelx data, mapped markets, supporting senior colleagues and have the ability to manage projects.  
The Company:  The company are a centre of excellence that is at the forefront of creating a viable and sustainable cell and gene therapy industry.  Their headquarters are in central London where they have built a leading multidisciplinary team that has the ability to take a therapy from concept through the development cycle to the market.  They collaborate with both academia and industry and they are able to provide the scientific, clinical and commercial expertise needed to overcome the challenges that hinder the commercialization of these fast developing, cutting edge technologies.  They have constructed a purpose-built manufacturing centre which opened at the end of 2017 and immediately after opening additional funding was allocated for the centre to be doubled in size due to the demand for their services.  This currently consists of 12 (of which 6 very recently completed) clean room suites out for collaborators to use to manufacture advanced therapies for use in clinical trials.
