A pioneering T Cell Therapy company who are developing a technology that revolutionises the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases are recruiting for a Senior Stem Process Development Scientist to join their leading R&D team based in West London.  This is a role where you will be able to apply your science in a cutting-edge environment working for a growing company with great potential now they are moving to clinical trials, meaning there is excellent initial growth in the role to be followed by excellent career prospects.



The Opportunity: They are seeking a Senior Process Development Scientist to develop scalable platform processes for the manufacture of the T – Cell based therapies as they move to clinical trials and eventually commercialisation.  As a Senior member of the team you will be leading research programmes overseeing their delivery in laboratories.  To then project manage these in the laboratories taking these through each development phase to completion. 


An overview of the skills you will be using are:


  • Quality by Design and risk based approaches to design experimental programmes
  • Process development of T cell manufacturing processes for GMP manufacture
  • Cell isolation, culture and cryopreservation (immune or stem cells)
  • Use large scale equipment such as Prodigy, Tyto, Sepax, LOVO, G-Rex, Wave/Xuri, expansion bags, bioreactors for example.
  • Multi colour flow cytometry
  • Write and develop SOP’s
  • Oversee work conducted by 3rd parties
  • Apply an innovative approach to seek solutions, adopt new approaches and techniques
  • Take ownership of projects

Desired Skills and Competencies: For this opportunity, you will need to be educated to PhD with expertise in a relevant area such as immunology, oncology, T cells, cell therapies or gene therapies. 


With expertise in the following areas:


  • Process Development and / or GMP manufacturing of cell therapies
  • Immune cell processing
  • Experience of working with T – Cells
  • Understand T cell biology, T Reg knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience in large scale GMP compliant equipment – Prodigy, Tyto, Sepax, LOVO, G-Rex, Wave/Xuri, expansion bags, and bioreactors for example
  • Multi colour flow cytometry
  • QBD and DoE experience is advantageous
