Job Description

The Role of Project Manager:
This role is within the ATTC Network Programme whose purpose is to bring these therapies to patients in the NHS.  With the purpose of the Progamme Manager to develop & execute projects that are designed to drive quality based standardisation and best practice using innovative solutions.  This role focuses on clinical trials, supply chains, manufacture, and the development of ATMP’s and their adoption to the NHS
Responsibilities includes:
  • Work with partners across the ATTC and Accelerated Access Collaboratives networks to deliver a range of standardisation initiatives
  • Develop partnerships with international bodies to develop standards suitable for NHS and global use
  • Work and engage with the following stakeholders: NHS (e.g. ATTC, Cell Laboratories, Blood Services, Pharmacies, clinical trial units, Accelerated Access Collaborative, etc), industry bodies (e.g. ABPI, ARM, BIA, SCB, UKSLGAT) and regulators
  • Partner with regulatory agencies (MHRA, HTA, NICE) to ensure work is compliant across network
  • Work to standardise the approach to tissues collection with the relevant body within the ATTC
  • Develop the Companion Diagnostics to accelerate the adoption of ATMP using exemplar products to test the system.
  • Engage with ATMP manufacturers to supporting NHS and industry partners and NHS to identify opportunities and challenges. Working to agree a way forwards
  • Develop and implement strategies for the optimisation and harminisation of practices for appropriate quality and regulatory standards.
Required Skills and Expertise:
  • Degree or higher education in relevant life sciences
  • ATMP (Cell & or Gene Therapy) Clinical trial experience – Management, Logistics, Labelling, or Supply Chain for example
  • Knowledge of ATMP manufacture and supply
  • Experience of interacting with the NHS
  • Managed complex multi-party projects
  • Understanding of quality assurance
