What Company Will You Be Working With?
 
With an R&D building, underground GMP facility, and recording studio-turned-office building all located next to each other in Central London, this highly unique clinical-stage gene therapy company that has 6 programmes in their clinical pipeline are looking for a team of bioprocessing scientists to further assist their rapid expansion at their London site, which already has a headcount of 200+.
 
Although their primary focus started in ophthalmology, they have branched out into developing therapies for the central nervous system (Parkinson’s) and the salivary glands. They have done so based on the significant unmet medical need coupled with the high potential gene therapy has to provide meaningful clinical benefit in these areas.
 
With headquarters in New York and London, as well as a team in the Netherlands and a facility in Ireland, their geographical footprint provides them with the opportunity to partner with globally leading institutions and attract the best talent across the world.
 
What Will You Be Doing?
  • Responsible for performing manufacturing activities of gene therapy products, following all GMP instructions and good practices for the upstream manufacture of required products
  • Responsible for ensuring that own work complies with GMP, Data Integrity and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and is undertaken in accordance with applicable procedures
  • Responsible for identifying, collaborating and delivering continuous improvements within the manufacturing area to improve safety, quality and flow
  • Timely closure of GMP commitments (issues, BMRs, CAPA, change control)
  • Responsible for performing sanitisation of the manufacturing materials and facility
  • Responsible for identifying, reporting and where appropriate investigating issues and deviations
  • Responsible for GxP compliance within designated processing areas
 
 
Who Are You?
 
  • 1+ years’ recent experience in GMP environment
  • 1+ years’ recent experience in pharmaceutical product manufacture of biologics
  • MSc in Industrial Biotechnology or similar subject
  • Keen to help manufacture gene therapy products that are creating a paradigm shift in the life science industry
