If so, this newly-created role for a Senior Manager of Patient Supply Operations could be an amazing step forward in your career.
 
A brand-new position has opened with a highly reputed Cell Therapy company in London, with significant investment into their clinical pipeline. This is a permanent role, on a hybrid basis (3 days in the London office and 2 days a week from home), with a highly competitive salary (around £70,000 depending on experience, and possibly negotiable), plus 10% annual bonus and additional benefits.
 
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to be responsible for patient-focused supply chains for the end to end of an autologous cell therapy product, interfacing with internal stakeholders and hospitals. Your role will include the planning and operational management of scheduling, procurement and delivery of patient supplies. This will involve the ability to interpret a clinical trial protocol in conjunction with other key study information, and to implement country-specific cell therapy supply operations in partnership with other functions for the compliant design, set up and running of the supply chain at the clinical site across multiple programmes.
 
Your role will include:
 
  • Leading a team of 6, within a Supply Chain team of 11
  • Ensuring an effective clinical trial supply chain solution is implemented to the relevant standards across multiple programmes and requirements
  • Overall management of global supply components of clinical trials within various oncology indications
  • To support communications between sites and logistics companies, ensuring review of KPIs acting as the point of contact for the activities enabling the patient journey
  • Selection and set up process for supply chain vendors from initial RFP to contract. Attending vendor meetings such as project kick-off and investigator meetings, quarterly face-to-face meetings, and others as necessary to assure alignment and achievement of study goals
  • Overseeing courier and logistics supply vendor relationships and supply chain coordinators track courier bookings and costs and following up on invoice discrepancies
  • Planning and managing the delivery of the Supply Chain and logistics teams between internal stakeholders and external stakeholders
  • Schedule and plan and overseeing procurement with clinical sites, logistics providers as required, following existing procedures to support project teams across the platform
  • Communicate updates to internal stakeholder and clinical sites on progress of product delivery
  • Patient Supply Coordination, Procurement and Infusion site Onboarding, Inventory management, Shipments/logistics, Capacity planning, Chain of Custody (Track and Trace), Labelling and Operational Finance. To support the management of patient scheduling for starting material and final product
  • To provide service feedback for vendors to support service improvements. Responsible for ensuring the supply chain platform vendors and logistics providers are performing to compliance and effectiveness. As such they will be responsible to ensure that any business improvements are to be flagged and addressed as appropriate
  • To work cross functionally with manufacturing and quality for the management and optimisation of the supply chain in a GxP environment
  • To work with the clinical site teams as part of patient supply operations for aspects related to the patient journey
  • Conducts thorough and regular risk management assessments to ensure all risks are systematically reviewed and appropriate mitigation executed, supporting efficiency and optimisation

Skills and Experience Required:
 
  • Strong experience in Clinical Supply Chain planning, operations or scheduling
  • Extensive Clinical Research and Clinical Supply experience, working to ICH-GCP regulations
  • Expertise in Cell Therapies would be advantageous. At least, you should have experience with Biological products, with knowledge of the processes to supply on a patient-focused basis to hospitals
