OUR CLIENT:
Our client delivers cloud-based scientific informatics tools to customers around the globe. They offer a complete enterprise informatics suite including modules for ELN, Chemical and Biological Registration, Chemical and Biological Inventory and Assay Data Management, with system-wide search and reporting functionality.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Head of Sales, this hands-on role also includes the direct management of 2 individuals, and offers you the opportunity to develop, grow, and expand the team, with the backing of a large global parent organisation. As a pro-active leader you will provide pre-sales support and services to customers and manage the growing Cloud software services team in the Americas, Europe, and APAC Regions. In return, you will be offered a lot of scope for professional satisfaction and growth, to work with a vibrant and engaged team, and be rewarded for your success.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead, guide, manage, and develop the worldwide technical pre-sales and services team.
• Provide and ensure the successful delivery of technical pre-sales services, including presentations,
demonstrations and training, both remotely and at customer sites.  
• Manage, support, and provide project management and hands on service delivery for new customer rollouts, data migrations and custom solutions.
• Provide quoting, proposal writing and SoW development and delivery.
• Provide tactical sales support on larger account opportunities.
• Manage project scope and work with resources to adjust and present, adjusted timelines and costs.
• Provide thought leadership and content development for marketing, training, and publications.
• Develop and execute technical content for the website, webinars, sales presentations, marketing and
documentation.
• Public speaking at trade shows, user group and sales meetings as required.


KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• BSc, MSc or PhD in chemistry, molecular biology, cheminformatics or other related sciences or experience.
• Several years’ experience in project management, laboratory workflows, laboratory automation including working with laboratory software – ELN, LIMS, SDMS etc
• Experience scoping and delivering projects on time and on budget
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Superb entrepreneurial, agile, adaptive, and practical approach with negotiation capabilities
• Advanced business acumen and judgment with proven success growing service teams and solutions.
