Purpose of the Role:
The Head of Skills Growth will have an impact on the company internally and sector wide at a national level for the ATMP (Advanced Therapy Medicinal Product) network. This is a is a fast-developing area with new life changing therapies reaching clinical trials, new concepts arriving and breakthroughs occurring regularly.
This opportunity will have significant on the sector because of the responsibility to create a skills ecosystem to attract and retain talent from into the ATMP sector. Thought the leveraging of a wide network of stakeholders from industry & academia as well as tools such as latest digital technologies to develop tolls to enhance skills & learning in the sector.
For this role you will be working on collaboration with a diverse range of stakeholders from industry, academia, and governmental departments. Taking the lead on projects with the responsibility for their governance, steering and delivery. This opportunity has exceptional growth potential becasue you will have the chance to put your tamp oin thsi role and then grow its remit & impact to become a Director in the future.
Key responsibilities includes:
The creation of a training & skills ecosystems for ATMP, including transferrable skills from relevant sectors
Lead Advanced Therapy Skills Programme to assess current and future training needs, including horizon scanning
Create and develop –and Advanced Therapy Skills Training Network via an online, one stop portal to address immediate skills and training needs
Lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge digital technology to deliver training programmes
Develop and implement strategy for the attraction of new people and retention programmes to develop an industry wide training landscape of L&D content for ATMP employers to utilise..
Develop pipeline of industry ready graduates and postgraduates – working with relevant academic partners
Build on Apprenticeship scheme that is well stablished to best leverage this
Required Skills and Expertise:
Commercial experience in similar position – developing training & skills operations
Demonstrable programme management expertise with multiple stakeholders
Experience of technical and professional education, working with academia and industry.
Degree in relevant biological subject or commercial discipline
Vocational training, coaching or assessment qualifications – advantageous.
