Are you an experienced Upstream Manufacturing Scientist? My client who are at the forefront of advancing the growth of the UK cell and gene therapy industry currently seeks an Upstream Manufacturing Scientist to join their team based in Essex.
Reporting to the Upstream Manufacturing Senior Scientist, the core function of the role will be to execute Upstream Manufacturing activities required for Bio-reactor derived Bulk Drug substance products to the point of transfer to the Downstream Processing environment.
The key accountabilities for the role include:-
Execute direct activities in the Upstream GMP operations manufacturing area.
Deputise for the Upstream Snr Scientist
Complete area operations, direct ALCOA compliant completion of Upstream Manufacturing related documentation
Complete Upstream Manufacturing area cleaning / disinfection actions
The right candidate for this role will have thefollowing profile:
Degree educated in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology or related subject.
Manufacturing experience in a Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology environment
Extensive knowledge of current GMP rules and the manufacture of Biological Products.
Be highly motivated, pragmatic and practical.
