Are you a PhD holder in pharmaceutical science, chemistry, material science, chemical engineering, or a related field? Are you an expert in vibrational spectroscopy? Do you have expert knowledge of FTIR, Raman and NIR spectroscopy and imaging approaches?
If you are a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scientist, this is an exciting opportunity to join the Material Characterisation team of a global pharmaceutical organisation. You will work with mentors and colleagues to develop 3D chemical imaging approaches and modelling methods for the investigation of pharmaceutical products.
The role is a 23-month contract and it’s based in Sandwich, Kent. There is a competitive hourly rate ranging from £20 to £25.19, working through an umbrella company.
Role Responsibilities
Highly motivated and ability to work effectively within a team.
Demonstrate strong technical expertise and research experience using vibrational spectroscopic imaging approaches to study pharmaceutical products.
Independently design experiments to collect 3D hyperspectral imaging data on pharmaceutical tablets and solid dosage forms
Conduct multivariate data analysis on the chemical images to contextualise and interpret the results, making decisions to drive the research project forward.
Communicate results at internal meetings, in peer-reviewed research articles, and at external conferences to demonstrate scientific excellence.
QualificationsPhD in pharmaceutical science, chemistry, material science, chemical engineering, or a related field.
