Do you have experience working in project management or in training/skills development programmes? Do you have experience in government liaison and talking to key stakeholders?
 
A brand-new opportunity has been created for a professional Programme Manager on a hybrid basis, partly in Stevenage and partly from home. This position is with a large biotech company that is forever expanding. They started growing in 2012 and now have over 500 staff and over 4 different sites. They focus on cell and gene therapy and partner with a range of innovative companies to develop large-scale manufacturing. We are looking for an individual who has a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience within project managing/programme managing and is extremely driven within their work.  You will be responsible for developing an innovative skills programme across the UK. The role will require you to reach out and engage with companies to encourage people to enter the programme from across the UK, this will include encouraging businesses to offer the apprenticeship to people with the option of doing it online.
 
The purpose of this programme is to encourage the growth and interest in the cell and gene therapy sector. Following along with the predicted growth of the industry will help to ensure there are enough people working within the industry. If you have confidence in handling government contracts, high level stakeholders, presenting numbers to government people and previous experience in project management then this could be the role for you!

Experience required:
  • Experience of being able to identify, collate, track, and record multiple project activities, identifying interdependencies, taking mitigating action where possible and escalating where appropriate to project members and senior leadership.
  • Proven experience of managing successful training and skill development programmes.
  • Experience of developing and facilitating meetings and management of multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of tendering and procurement processes.
  • Experience of project management ideally through working in a regulated industry.
  • Cell and Gene Therapy experience would be helpful but not essential.
