Project Manager required for an exciting and growing CDMO in Leicestershire who provide a range of integrated services across the drug development lifecycle to the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors globally. The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of multiple Pharmaceutical Development projects. As the key point of contact, the Project Manager ensures that the tasks undertaken by a multi-disciplinary project team are aligned so that project deliverables are on time and within budget.
 
On offer for the Project Manager is a competitive salary and benefits package which may include a relocation package for someone moving closer to the site. The role will be hybrid, but preference would be for the individual to be on site for the first few months of the role.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Working on behalf of their pharma clients, manage the smooth running of all internal operational aspects of new product development contract projects.
  • Manage the progress of client projects ensuring that internal project management and quality systems are effectively used to deliver the required project goals. Advise management on improvements that could be made to internal systems to assist with project delivery.
  • Liaise effectively with those internal functions involved with each project, including but not limited to: Project Management Craigavon, Formulation & Process Development, Analytical Support, Client Services, Production, Quality, Materials Stores, Distribution and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences and correspondence with clients as required in performance of function.
  • Develop an understanding of each project deliverable and the clients’ key requirements.
  • Be aware of key project issues and the impact they have on the overall project plan. Work actively with the client and internal resources to address any project issues that threaten project success.
  • For each project maintain current and accurate project plans for the purposes of client and management information. Manage each project to comply with the agreed timelines.
  • Ensure that all resources and costs associated with work proposed are identified and included in cost base for quotation.
  • As project activities progress, report on actual project hours worked versus proposed hours. Inform management of change of scope and assist in the renegotiation of project costs if required.
  • Ensure that all quotations are generated and supplied to client in an efficient and timely manner and that all charges for project work completed are raised accurately and promptly.
  • Identify and respond efficiently and effectively to all customer needs.
  • Maintain an awareness of and as necessary, assist in the monitoring and control of client financial accounts.
  • As required from time to time, assist in the identification and development of business opportunities within the area of contract development. In particular acquire and collate appropriate target market data, conduct the necessary analysis, make recommendations and assist in the development of potential business opportunities as directed by line management.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate records and reference documentation for the provision of management information and generate reports as required.
  • Manage client visits to site; ensuring each visitor is handled in an efficient and professional manner.
  • As necessary, conduct administrative duties associated with the position.
 
Experience required:
  • Previous Project Management experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, analytical or project role.
  • Familiarity with the manufacture and analysis of pharmaceutical products.
  • Previous experience in the use of Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with Pharmaceutical Development activities.
  • Previous experience in customer facing role.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to organise, plan and prioritise tasks within a high volume, varied workload.
  • Good negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to process and analyse large amounts of technical information.
