A pioneering company who are at the center of the Cell & Gene Therapy sector are seeking a Research Technician to be a key member of the team to work across a range of cell and gene therapy focused projects providing research support for both process optimization and analytical development. This role will provide access and training on the latest technologies used for bioprocess automation and experience in the use of a range of analytical techniques.

The Role:

You will be responsible for day-to-day planning and carry out laboratory-based tasks to assist senior team members to deliver projects to agreed timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities includes:

  • Perform lab-based activities to contribute to the development of research – based manufacturing processes.
  • Carry out media preparation, culture of various cell types and performing routine assays such as flow cytometry, ELISA and RT-qPCR
  • Operate under aseptic techniques ensuring reagent supply is available, equipment is calibrated and ready to use
  • Using your communication skills work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Follow internal processes such as GMP, comply with QMS and use electronic laboratory notebook for data capture

Required Skills and Expertise:
  • MSC/BSc in a Life Science discipline
  • Experience in biologics or cell biology, background in immunology, virology, or other related life science discipline
  • Experience in analytical techniques: Flow Cytometry, ELISA, qPCR, RNA/DNA isolation
  • Experience in cell culture with mammalian cell types would be advantageous
  • Experience working in a research or industry-based manufacturing environment with cell therapies or biologics
  • GMP experience would be advantageous
