RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will be required to liaise with the Product development and regulatory team in order to develop test protocols to assist device development and ensure device compliance with applicable standards.

  • You will be responsible for the sourcing, ordering, build and commission of any bespoke test instruments/equipment required to perform required medical device testing. (Training provided)

  • Maintain associated documentation for testing and calibration

  • Routine testing of incoming goods from suppliers.

  • Be responsible for meeting daily service and repair needs across the company.

  • Deliver, install and validate new equipment.

  • Complete service reports on e-forms in an efficient and professional manner.

  • Document all inspection, maintenance and service work, and submit accurate paperwork in a timely manner.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential:

  • Degree in engineering or other relevant degree

  • HNC/HND in electrical and electronic engineering considered

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience

  • Ability to read and understand technical standards and test protocols

  • Ability to understand electrical and mechanical equipment/instrument specifications

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Demonstrable understanding of basic engineering, electrics, and workshop skills.

Desirable:

  • Experience of fault-finding, service, repair of electro-mechanical equipment

  • Experience in mechanical & electrical product testing and use of relevant equipment

  • Previous service engineering experience

  • Knowledge of the NHS competitive marketplace
