Next Phase is a specialist life science recruitment agency in Horsham, West Sussex, working with innovative Cell & Gene Therapy, Biotechnology and MedTech clients across the UK, US and Europe. If you are an ambitious, motivated individual with excellent communication skills, then we will be excited to hear from you! We offer a comprehensive training programme and the earnings potential for a competent recruiter is fantastic.

Realistically, with commission, you should expect to earn at least £28k-£30k in your first year (this isn't capped so can be higher), £40k-£50k in your second year and significantly more in your third year and beyond. Your starting salary will be £20,800, which will increase by £1k or £3k after 6 months depending on which path you take ('360' Recruitment or Delivery) after initial training. You will also be entitled to an amazing Vitality package after just 3 months, which includes private healthcare and a range of perks and discounts related to health and wellbeing. You will also join our local volunteering programme from day 1 and have the opportunity to join in with a range of fundraising, social and team events that go on throughout the year!
 
We are based right in the centre of Horsham, with excellent transport links. We have over 16 years’ experience as a successful, forward-thinking business, and we are looking for bright, positive, professional and tech-savvy individuals to be part of our recruitment training programme. It is important that you can demonstrate confident sales skills, perhaps backed with some experience in a role in sales, client services, project co-ordination or estate agency. A university degree would be a significant advantage but is not essential.

The Opportunity
 
As a Trainee Recruitment Consultant, you will learn about the whole spectrum of recruitment, getting to know people in different roles with life sciences, across various geographical locations (inside and outside the UK). You will start to have a range of responsibilities including:
 
  • Searching for candidates with specific skills and experiences
  • Conducting interviews and expanding your industry knowledge through fascinating conversations
  • Building your network of contacts across the industry
  • Creating attractive adverts
  • Writing and sharing engaging content about scientific innovations
  • Assisting in the coaching and support of individuals going through interview and offer processes
 
This will be a busy, challenging role which requires dedication and positive energy. In turn, the rewards will be enormous as you begin to progress on your chosen career path. We have three career paths available, within client services (business development-focused), delivery (candidate-focused), and recruitment consultant (sometimes referred to as ‘360’).
 
We work Tuesdays to Thursday in our modern, welcoming office in the centre of Horsham, and Mondays and Fridays from home.
 
Experience Required
 
We are looking for someone with a good educational background, some experience gained in a customer-facing role, a willingness to learn and a positive, upbeat manner. Experience in sales, customer service, estate agency, project management or client services will all be useful. You will ideally live within 30 minutes of Horsham for office-based days.
