Job Description:

This is an exciting and influential opportunity that has arisen due to expansion relating to the increase of tenders that are being applied for and targeted needing a specialist to manage this process from the initial preparation to completion.  You will be reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for compiling bids and contracts for key NHS and private hospital tenders.  Due to the nature of this role you will be working across the company in an influential post with the opportunity to develop and grow in the role as it develops.

The core responsibilities of the role are:

  • Support the Operations Manager in the compilation of tenders.
  • Management of the contract database tools and assist in providing metrics and reporting.
  • Maintain the Tender Library and response templates, including ongoing updating and optimizing.
  • Support the Operations Manager with the generation of quotes for customers.
  • Work with the sales team to understand the complex sales processes of the Surgical Sales Team so that they are able to offer best in class bids.
  • Meet customers to ensure bids are tailored to their needs.
  • Keep up to date with changing requirements and priorities of customers and the fast-moving Med Tech industry.
  • Review business cases with the Operations Manager and Commercial Manager to challenge submissions and preparation for onward review by management team.
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager in their absence.

Desired Skills and Experience

You will need have experience of preparing tenders for the NHS or within NHS procurement and the management of incoming applications from potential suppliers.  You will need to understand the tender lifecycle with experience of managing systems and the ability to manage projects to deadlines.
