A Pharmaceutical organisation in West Sussex has an opportunity for a Packaging Change Controller that would suit a Packaging Technologist. This is a broad role to control and manage the Packaging Change function with involvement in all aspects of the packaging, labelling and information supplied with products to international markets. You will manage a wide variety of requirements including changes to design, artwork and text through coordinating and checking all work that is carried out internally and externally while ensuring all processes are followed and regulatory standards met.
A pioneering UK-based and owned Pharmaceutical company specialising in the development and production of injectable and oral dose vaccines plus diagnostic kits for people who suffer from allergies. They have developed an innovative range or treatments that are manufactured, packaged and distributed internationally from their South Coast headquarters. They have grown to around 270 employees in Worthing and the company has an excellent reputation for the collaborative and supportive environment of a smaller, growing entrepreneurial organisation.
The overall purpose of this role is to control and manage the Packaging Change function within the Marketing and Regulatory Support operation of the company. This involves prioritising projects to effectively support the design, development and changes to packaging components including primary and secondary packaging, labelling and patient information leaflets (PILs). This includes the production and amendment of packaging components, artwork and text while taking account of country specific regulatory requirements. The job holder will drive through all changes using external developers while coordinating internal approval, purchasing and product implementation. Inherent in the role will be ensuring all administration records and systems are updated, proof reading text, suggesting ideas for and checking artwork, coordinating and liaising between a wide range of departments including quality, regulatory, operations and marketing plus preparing dossier submissions when required.

The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of packaging and the component parts for commercial goods. This can be from either a pharmaceutical or other commercial sector and may well suit a Packaging Technologist or Pack Change Controller however this is not a packaging or artwork design role. Candidates will need an excellent attention to detail and have advanced skills in Word and Excel.
