Do you have experience in Method Development and Validation for material characterisation using HPLC / UPLC? Are you able to work independently and present analytical results and conclusions? If so, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
 
An Analytical Scientist is required to join one of the UK’s top Pharmaceutical Companies, who are known for discovering and developing new and better ways to Treat Diseases. You will be part of the Materials Characterisation team to support the development and validation of Liquid Chromatography to support complex Analytical Process Investigations along with on the market drugs.
 
The role is initially an 18 month contract position, with a good chance of extension beyond this. Their lab is based in Sandwich and for a highly experienced Analytical Scientist who can fulfil all the essential criteria, there is a competitive hourly rate ranging up to £23 per hour depending on experience which equates to around £34,000.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Support the development, validation and testing of LC-MS methods for the quantity of small molecules impurities
  • Perform experiments in accordance with GLP
  • Document laboratory work that is detailed, timely and in compliance with GLP requirements
  • Conduct technical data reviews
  • Present the data and conclusions to customers for making informed decisions
  • Prepare and review technical documents, analytical test procedures and investigation reports
 
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
 
  • To be able to present analytical results and conclusions
  • Experience with HPLC, UPLC, MS method development and validation for small molecules
  • Must be highly motivated and self directed
