Our client is the centre of excellence that is at the forefront of creating a viable and sustainable cell and gene therapy industry in the UK. They collaborate with both academia and industry and they are able to provide the scientific, clinical and commercial expertise needed to overcome the challenges that hinder the commercialisation of these fast developing, cutting edge technologies.

The Business Development Transaction Executive (UK North) will develop and maintain relationships between the client and leading academic institutions, technology transfer offices, spin-out companies, SMEs and large companies, to ensure a flow of high quality projects for delivery. It is expected that there will be particular focus on the pluripotent stem cell and CMC bioanalytical contract research organisation strengths in the central belt of Scotland.

As the Business Development Executive, you will work with the BD Director to develop the strategy to be implemented. Mapping the region to identify key accounts, understand their needs, identify technology gaps to target key developers in the region. You will identify and transact deals to secure joint collaborative R&D grant awards, fee for service commercial income, or support from funding.

Experience
• Proven recent experience of sales/business development within life science/therapeutic organisations
• Previous experience of account management, within a business development, commercial, or technology transfer role
• Experience of grant supported R&D collaborations preferred
• Well-networked within the North UK Territory
• Knowledge of either bio-analytics, pluripotent stems cells or clinical development preferred

This is fully remote role but there is the requirement to be able to attend offices in Edinburgh and London.
