This position would only be suitable for someone that is genuinely driven by rare opportunities that are having an unequivocal innovative impact on accelerated access to next-generation therapies to treat and save patients’ lives, alongside accountability for one of the nation’s most important government-backed economic initiatives in the future of global healthcare.
As well as immediate maintenance of the current programmes, involving significant levels of internal and external senior stakeholder engagement both directly and via your project management team (management of 5 project managers – all home based; Standards & Best Practice Manager, Knowledge Sharing Manager, Project Manager, Data Infrastructure Manager, Administrator + a Grants Coordinator to be hired during your contract); you will also take the lead on expansion of this programme (currently a £40m project – expansion funding TBC) and a brand new initiative within it, to support progression of projects in to PhII clinical trials – a truly major and highly anticipated milestone for the organisation, programme and sector both locally and internationally.
Key requirements
- Certified Project Manager Qualification
- Demonstrable experience running large/complex projects (minimum of £10m budgets)
- Experience working with multiple senior level stakeholders internally/externally
- Experience working with NHS
- Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry experience
- Understanding or experience of cell & gene therapy advantageous but not essential
