Our client partner is a clinical-stage biopharma organization developing novel medicines, aiming to become one of the world’s leading solid tumor companies, as well as developing new innovative therapeutics that utilize their patented precision guided technology. Due to expansion within their data science team, an exciting new opportunity for an R&D Data Manager has been created.

Overview:
This is a key development role in enabling their scientists to accurately plan, execute, store, and retrieve data from our ELN environment and associated databases. Our clients Discovery science platform involves input from phage, biology, molecular pharmacology, and chemistry disciplines. Ensuring an optimum and integrated workflow is a key responsibility of the Data Science team.

There will be opportunities to play a key role in developing their current data pipelines as well as opportunities to lead projects that address the unique applications of their unique platform. The ideal candidate will have experience of developing chemistry solutions in Dotmatics.

Responsibilities:
• Help lead the development of our ELN.
• Manage and resolve ELN helpdesk tickets in a smooth and efficient manner.
• Work closely with all scientific teams to help implement and streamline their work into the ELN.
• Take product ownership by organising meetings with key stakeholders, manage expectations, and review feedback.
• Drive through high levels of automation where applicable.
• Help identify ELN projects and be proactive in finding and addressing broader issues within the ELN environment.
• Applying key concepts on data integrity and governance and using those as a framework for all data activities.

Qualifications
• BSc / MSc or equivalent qualification in a life sciences or informatics subject.
• Experience in a data management role in a pharma/ biotech environment.
• Experience of working with Dotmatics, or another ELN solution such as Benchling, labguru, etc
• Exposure to programming with API’s and developing data pipelines.
• Experience in Python, and SQL programming, ideally Oracle.

Location: This is a hybrid based role, where you will work with teams based at both their US and UK offices, be highly motivated, self-starting, and ambitious.
