Are you an experienced Planning Manager with a proven track record? Have you got experience of implementing sales & operations planning in a GMP environment?
 
My client is a world-leading cell and gene therapy contract development and manufacturing organisation based in Edinburgh. They are creating cutting-edge therapies that change people’s lives. As part of their continued growth, they are now recruiting across all their teams including this Planning Manager role. This role is well suited to an individual looking to lead the Planning function within a fast-paced, growing life sciences company.
 
The Role:
You will be a key member of the management team and will hold responsibility for forecast consolidation to supply plan, including addressing supply constraints over a medium-term planning window ensuring that all resources are planned and scheduled to successfully deliver our cell and gene therapy product commitments on time and in full. The ideal candidate will hold experience in end-to-end sales and operation planning.
 
Responsibilities:
Work is fast paced. Your responsibilities will therefore be varied, but will include:
  • Managing and leading the Planning function within the company to ensure internal and external customers’ requirements are met.
  • Engagement with key stakeholders including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Facilities, QC, QA, business development and upstream teams to maintain a forward-looking monthly S&OP plan.
  • Leading of monthly S&OP cycle including demand forecast from customer, supply planning pre-S&OP and S&OP executive.
  • Working with the Supply Chain team to maintain internal demand plans and forecasts to ensure that all processes have sufficient materials and components to execute the Schedule as planned.
  • Line management and future growth/development of the Planning team in line with the company’s growth and expansion.
Job requirements
Skills and Experience:
You will be able to demonstrate:
  • Sales operation planning
  • Demand planning / forecasting
  • Good understanding supply planning/ constraint supply and scenario planning
  • Understand the difference between planning and execution – experience in both
  • Understanding of inventory classification and policy development
  • Supplier Manager experience
