Head of Pharmaceutical Development – Formulations
Heads of Pharmaceutical Development direct all activities related to formulation, process development, and scale-up of pharmaceutical products. They ensure smooth transition from early-stage R&D through to clinical and commercial readiness.
Responsibilities include:
Leading formulation strategy – Supporting NCEs, generics, or biologics with optimal delivery and stability.
Managing cross-functional development teams – Aligning scientists, analytical chemists, and manufacturing.
Ensuring GMP and regulatory readiness – Overseeing documentation, validation, and submission support.
Driving innovation and technology transfer – Evaluating new technologies or platforms for improved efficiency and performance.
Budgeting and resource planning – Leading departmental growth, infrastructure investment, and team development.
